Perkins ejected from Game 5 of East finals

ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) -Boston center Kendrick Perkins was ejected from Game 5 of the Eastern Conference finals late in the first half after picking up a pair of technical fouls, his sixth and seventh of the postseason.

Perkins was called for a foul, then picked up the two technicals - which could be even costlier than the ejection. Unless the NBA rescinds one of the technicals, Perkins will face a mandatory one-game suspension, which kicks in once a player reaches the seven-tech mark in the postseason.

The NBA will review the calls.

Also, he could have some added motivation to put up big numbers this season with the Eagles using their first pick in the draft on McNabb’s future successor Kevin Kolb.
