01/30/2007 - West Lafayette, IN (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - Star Allen scored 21 points on 10-of-12 shooting and pulled down 13 rebounds, as fifth-ranked Ohio State rallied in the second half to beat No. 10 Purdue, 64-55, at Mackey Arena.
Marscilla Packer added 13 points, while Jessica Davenport and Brandie Hoskins each scored 12 for the Buckeyes (19-1, 8-0 Big Ten), who have won their last 25 conference tilts.
Ohio State's only loss this season came December 10 at LSU, but since then the Buckeyes have rattled off 12 consecutive wins.
Lindsay Wisdom-Hylton had 13 points and eight rebounds for the Boilermakers (19-4, 8-1), who had their five-game winning streak snapped. Katie Gearlds added 12 points and Jodi Howell 11 for Purdue, which went 8-of-32 from the field in the second half.
The Buckeyes trailed 33-30 at the half, and Purdue led 42-36 with 14:40 left after a basket by Wisdom-Hylton. However, the Buckeyes scored the next eight points, capped by Davenport's basket, and Purdue never led again.
Wisdom-Hylton's basket tied the score at 44 midway through the second half, but Packer responded with a three-pointer to give Ohio State the lead for good. Another bucket by Packer widened the margin to 59-49 with under two minutes left.
The Buckeyes ended the game shooting 50 percent from the field, compared to 35.6 percent for Purdue.
This is Ohio State's best start in the conference since the 1986-87 Big Ten championship squad won its first 13 league games before losing to Northwestern in its 14th conference game.
Interestingly, on Wednesday, Purdue's men's basketball team hosts No. 4 Ohio State.

Despite a poor showing in last season's playoffs and the loss of Steve Yzerman to retirement, the Detroit Red Wings are early favourites at this online sportsbook with wagering odds of 6-1. The Wings will look to offensive powerhouse Pavel Datsyuk and newly appointed captain Nicklas Lidstrom to lead one of the league's most prominent franchises.
Always a threat are the Ottawa Senators, with newly acquired goaltender Martin Gerber from the Stanley Cup champion ,Carolina Hurricanes. Behind the Canes are the New Jersey Devils, Calgary Flames, Buffalo Sabres, Philadelphia Flyers, and Anaheim Mighty Ducks all sit at 12-1.
